Why Pangea?

The idea for an outdoor adventure company was bounced around in the family for a couple months; then, finally, we struck gold and came up with the perfect name that encapsulated all our ideas and goals for the company as a whole: Pangea.

Pangaea or Pangea was a supercontinent that existed during the late Paleozoic and early Mesozoic eras. It assembled from earlier continental units approximately 300 million years ago, and it began to break apart about 175 million years ago. As you can see in the image above, this is a rough estimate of how scientists believe the land mass looked.

Who is Pangea?

The idea and  the maniacs behind all the screens are called the Bailey Family: Janelle, Molly & her husband Pat all dreamed the brand.

Janelle is a twenty-year-old living her dream off on the East Coast while still managing / making executive decisions. She loves to talk, meeting new people, experiencing new things even if they are terrifying, spending time alone, being with family, traveling, skateboarding, making lists, doing homework, and running up the mountain. She dreams huge and works hard in all she does, always with a smile on her face. Her motto is "Be a triumph, not a tragedy!"

Pat, Molly, & their little boy live outside of Portland, Oregon. Pat and Molly met after college where they both received business degrees. Now, Pat does mostly IT work and Molly wears a thousand hats; but mostly, she does marketing for The Portland Marathon. They believe whole-heartedly in doing what's best for you by eating right, exercising, going outside, socializing with other humans, stimulating your mind, spending time with your soul and your creator, and being the best human you can be.

Jonah is our head graphic designer and idea powerhouse. He's enthusiastic about the outdoors and the healing power it has brought into his own life. He is super creative and works hard all day everyday.

What does Pangea believe?

* Bringing people together through comrade and the outdoors, and providing them the fresh equipment to do so

* Finding a release in outdoor exploration / expression
